A young woman has been lashed naked to a pole and burned to death in a suspected voodoo killing in Papua New Guinea. It is thought to the be that latest in a series of 'sorcery killings' in the heart of the jungle. The girl was stripped naked and could not shout for assistance or resist as she was tightly strapped and her mouth gagged.
Hysteria over witchcraft is said to be rampant in parts of the country where black magic is still practised.
It is 2009 isn't it? :(
